HOW’D YOU GET A BEER FESTIVAL INTO A BOX?

There’s an old story about a man who goes to see a doctor because he is feeling overwhelmed with all the challenges in the world. The doctor looks at him and says, ‘I have the perfect solution for you. The Great Pandini the clown is in town tonight – go see his show.’ The man, even more upset now, replies, ‘But doctor, I am the Great Pandini.’
So yeah, things are a little challenging right now – no question. And I’m sure you and everyone you meet can tell you about something they are missing. For the team at Alberta Beer Festivals, the thing we are missing most is how we bring our community together. The best ideas, laughs and friendships are shared over food and drink – and though there are definitely much larger issues in the world – we still feel the absence of being able to bring people together.
That’s where the idea for ‘Beerfest In A Box’ came from. There’s no replacing our festivals – but we can still support our amazing industry – and hopefully bring people together. Each ‘Beerfest In A Box’ contains 8 incredible craft beers from 8 amazing Alberta breweries. Some of them are old friends, while others might become your new favorite. Each edition of ‘Beerfest In A Box’ will be packed with similar styles – so you know you’ll be able to enjoy each and every beer inside.
In addition to the great beers, each case contains a QR code that, if you hold your phone over it, will link you to a video of the brewers discussing their beers so you can hear directly from the people who made them. It isn’t quite a beer festival, but it’s as close as we can come right now, and a whole lot of fun if shared with a friend.
‘Beerfest In A Box’ is available at all participating Sobeys & Safeway liquor stores as well as many other fine establishments. For a list of where to find ‘Beerfest In A Box’ click HERE.
