Brightside #BeTheBrewer Contest
Alberta Beer Festivals (ABF) is proud to announce that our annual Brightside #BeTheBrewer Contest is back! Partnering with Brightside and the Olds College BrewMaster Program, we are on the hunt for the best crowd-sourced brew- and the best part?- it’s completely up to you! The 5 Stages of the competition will be spread out from now until March 16, 2020. Stage 1 launches January 13th, so we’ve put together a list of the top 3 most exciting things to know about #BeTheBrewer.
1) It’s a 100 per cent crowd-sourced brew
From the label design to the taste- it’s all you. Each stage of #BeTheBrewer lets you vote on a different aspect of the beer. Stage 1 lets you vote on the style of beer, from American Pale Ale to a deep Irish Red. Make sure you get your vote in before Stage 1 voting ends on Jan. 23, 2020. On top of that, there are prizes galore! ABF prize packs, opportunities to become a beer judge and other exclusive opportunities are yours to win at every stage. Make sure you enter each stage to increase your chances of winning.
2) It connects us with our community
ABF loves the opportunity to connect with communities across the province and work together on projects like #BeTheBrewer. This year we are sponsored by Brightside and partnered with Olds College Brewery who will be brewing the final winning creation. On top of those partners, we get to hear the great ideas of Albertans and incorporate their ideas into a killer beer that they can try and share with friends.
3) It generates some amazing beer
From a lion to a cat with laser beam eyes riding a unicorn, we have seen some pretty fun and creative ideas over the years. Not only that, but the beers have been delicious too! Last year’s winner, the Ctrl- Alt- D’Wheat Hefeweizer, is Olds College Brewery’s best seller. Albertans know what makes a good beer!
We can’t wait to see the idea’s you come up with this year. Make sure you keep an eye on our Instagram (@abbeerfestivals) for updates about each stage of the contest.
