MISSION: BEER FEST-IBLE – THE ONLY MISSION THAT MATTERS

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make every second count at this year’s Calgary International Beerfest – May 5th and 6th at the BMO Centre on Stampede Park. For your mission briefing, we have compiled 5 Top Secret Rules of Engagement that will allow you and your team to achieve the ultimate success.

RULE #1 – Do Your Research – Every good team leader needs to know what they don’t know. You can find your targets (breweries, distilleries, and more) FAQs, times, maps, and more here (good news, it won’t self-destruct after you read it either…) One thing to note this year is that there is mass construction on the North side of Stampede. As always, we recommend you take transit, but if you do drive, enter through the South side of the park, and always make sure you plan a safe way to get home after.

RULE #2 – Plan Your Target – What do you and your team hope to accomplish on your mission? In addition to the over 200 breweries, distilleries, cideries, meaderies and RTD (ready to drink beverages) you can sample at the festival, you’ll also be able to taste delicious food from over 30 fantastic local pubs, restaurants, and eateries. Yummy is spelled B-E-E-R-F-E-S-T!

RULE #3 – Unlock the Code – The ever-popular Cooking with Beer Seminars and Let’s Meet for A Beer Sessions are back and will give you the chance to tell better stories by learning what beers pair well with what foods and hearing cool stories behind the scenes of the breweries and distilleries. Then next time you’re trying to sound impressive –  like at a dinner party or on a date – you’ll have cool stories to tell!

RULE #4 – Expect the Unexpected – you and your team will be well planned out, but a truly exceptional team will be ready to adjust at a moment’s notice. With so much to explore, you might find games, djs, lounges, foods, drinks and more your brain just couldn’t believe would be so amazing. Stay on target and be ready to adjust your plan if you find one of the many surprises lurking around every corner. 

RULE #5 – We Rise By Lifting Others – As a force for good, your team will be supporting our Charities of Choice just by being at the festival. This year, we’ll once again be supporting Kids Up Front and AAFS – by coming out to the event, you’ll be helping make great things happen for these amazing organizations.  ABF has donated tickets to help with fundraising to over 70 Alberta charities and have helped raise over $300,000 for our charities of choice.

Festivals are where unforgettable moments can happen.  The atmosphere, everyone having a great time, the chance for shared experiences with friends that can bond you together for life.
